Hermia Dosimetry is a specialized software solution by Hermes Medical Solutions, forming a key part of the broader Hermia molecular imaging software suite. It is designed to advance personalized dosimetry and theranostics in nuclear medicine for applications such as treating complex liver, prostate, and neuroendocrine cancers. The software is a vendor-neutral platform that processes DICOM images from all camera manufacturers (PET/SPECT/CT/MR) and simplifies the workflow for clinicians and technologists.
The solution offers three main approaches to dosimetry, all integrated into a single workflow to save time and decrease the chance of error:
- Hermia Voxel Dosimetry: Provides accurate and personalized dose calculations using a Monte Carlo algorithm to simulate photon absorption and scatter, calculating a volumetric dose map on the voxel or organ level. It features semi-automatic organ segmentation with a machine learning-based algorithm and deformable registration for image alignment.
- Hermia Organ Dosimetry: Integrates seamlessly with OLINDA/EXM® to generate absorbed dose tables to all volumes of interest using the Medical Internal Radiation Dosimetry (MIRD) methodology, supporting over 1,000 radionuclides.
- Hermia SIRT: A cutting-edge application for treatment planning and verification of liver tumors, either primary or metastatic liver cancer.
As an enterprise-grade solution, Hermia Dosimetry is built to integrate seamlessly with existing hospital IT systems, including PACS, RIS, and HIS, and is delivered via flexible remote access solutions.
