Foundation Health Partners

Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is a community-owned, non-profit healthcare system based in Fairbanks, Alaska. It serves as the primary medical provider for the Interior region of Alaska, an area covering approximately 250,000 square miles. The system was formed on January 1, 2017, when the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation transitioned from a management contract with Banner Health to a locally operated model. FHP operates three main facilities: Fairbanks Memorial Hospital (FMH), a 152-bed acute care facility; Tanana Valley Clinic (TVC), a multi-specialty outpatient clinic; and Denali Center, a short-term and long-term care facility. As a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, FHP provides local patients with access to specialized medical expertise and clinical resources from the Mayo Clinic while remaining an independent, community-governed organization.
