Gourishankar Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (GIPER)

Gourishankar Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (GIPER) is a premier educational and research institution located in Satara, Maharashtra, India. Established in 2008, the institute is part of the Gourishankar Educational & Charitable Trust and is affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU). It offers undergraduate (B. Pharm), postgraduate (M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute functions as a recognized Ph.D. research center and maintains a strong focus on R&D, particularly in the areas of novel drug delivery systems (NDDS), formulation development, and phytochemistry. GIPER actively engages with the pharmaceutical industry through its Industry-Institution Interaction Cell (IIP Cell), facilitating MoUs for collaborative research, industrial training, and placements with various CROs and manufacturing firms.
