Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Technology and Development Center

The Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Technology and Development Center (PITDC) is a prominent nonprofit organization in Taiwan, established in 1993 through a joint endowment from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the domestic pharmaceutical industry. It serves as a critical bridge between government, academia, and the private sector, dedicated to advancing Taiwan's pharmaceutical and medical device industries through technology R&D, regulatory consultation, and international market expansion. PITDC provides comprehensive, one-stop R&D and technical services, including drug development (small molecules, botanical drugs, and traditional Chinese medicine), quality control, GMP compliance, and clinical trial support. The center plays a vital role in upgrading local industry standards to meet international requirements, such as PIC/S GMP, and facilitates strategic alliances to help Taiwanese manufacturers enter global markets.
