NIBRT (National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training)

NIBRT is a global centre of excellence for biopharmaceutical manufacturing research and training, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. Established in 2011 through a collaboration between industry, government (IDA Ireland), and academia (UCD, TCD, DCU, and others), it operates a world-class, 8,300 m² facility that replicates a modern industrial bioprocessing environment. The institute provides cutting-edge training solutions to over 4,800 trainees annually and conducts industry-aligned research in areas such as analytical science, cell and genetic engineering, and bioprocess engineering. It serves as a critical resource for the global biopharma industry, supporting workforce development and the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies.
