EUBREAST

EUBREAST is a prominent international non-profit network of breast surgeons and researchers dedicated to optimizing surgical treatments for breast cancer. The organization focuses on conducting large-scale, cross-border clinical trials aimed at de-escalating surgical interventions—reducing the extent of surgery without compromising oncological safety—to improve the quality of life for patients. Operating through two legal entities in Germany (EUBREAST e.V.) and Italy (EUBREAST ETS), the network collaborates with major research groups like the German Breast Group (GBG) and the Breast International Group (BIG). Their work is practice-changing, often providing the clinical evidence needed to move away from radical procedures like full axillary lymph node dissection in favor of more targeted, less invasive techniques.
