Apateya is a French deep-tech biotechnology company based in Bordeaux, originating from academic research at the University of Bordeaux and the Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases (IMN). The company is dedicated to addressing the global challenge of chronic neuropathic pain by developing first-in-class, non-opioid small molecule therapies that target the underlying causes of pain rather than just providing symptomatic relief. By identifying novel mechanisms of action involving descending pain control pathways and ion channel regulation, Apateya aims to provide more effective, long-term solutions for patients.
